I thought URTV3 was it?
A lot of people are confused about why I am doing another season when I constantly said that URTV3 would be the last before All Stars.
There's a few reasons.
1 - URTV3 was my first season where I dipped my foot into the broader ORG community...URTV1 and URTV2 were pretty indy and I only really kept it between people I already knew. I didn't go out of my way to advertise. Since URTV3 opened, it's gained a lot of interest and a lot of people were looking forward to playing in the next one, but were disappointed that All Stars was next.
2 - At the moment, if I make All Stars the next season it would mean 3 people from Season 1, 4 people from season 2, and 7 people from season 3. I don't want that type of unbalance. So I'm hoping with this season, things will get a lot more balanced.
So really, I had no choice but to do another season. Sorry to those who were ready, just one more season and we're good to go.
I'm already in All-Stars, can I play?
I'm going to ask people who are currently in All-Stars to please hold off signing up. If we're low on people and need more ASAP, then you may. But until then, this game is about second chances for those who didn't make All Stars and an opportunity to impress for newcomers.
I'm an alumni. I don't want to play, can I be Housecalls?
Pretty much all alumni will be eligable to be part of the Housecalls staff. However, it's first come first served. I don't want a huge Housecalls staff because then things might be hard to contain.
I don't want to play. Can I watch?
I have brought back a big feature from URTV2 - the fan forums. If you are not playing either because you don't want to, you're already in All Stars, or you missed the casting - just simply PM me asking me to give you access to the fan forums. You can talk to other people there about the game. I'll post Love Em or Leave Em polls and you'll gain access to the main forums.
I noticed your last season took a very long time, will this?
Last season's theme was about taking a long time. There were intruders, twists, and turns at every direction that caused the game to take a very long time. I can guarantee you that this game will be nothing like that. This game will be VERY fast paced (Notice the logo in the background) and if you sign up, you'll have to stay on your toes because you'll need to keep up to do good in this game.
Will fast paced mean no more food competitions?
There will still be food competitions, but they'll be pretty rare. Normally I only did them to give people something to do to get the ball moving for the first few weeks. Then they just died out around the 5th or 6th one. Here I'll do one every few weeks just to see if everyone is awake.
What is this chatbox thing and can I turn it off?
I have it there because it was pretty popular last season. It was just a small one-stop place to just say hi real quick when you're checking to see who won something or whatever, without having to go through the trouble of making AIM.
Yes, it can be quite loud, but all you have to do is mute it. On the row with the smilies, there is an icon there to adjust the sound to mute it. And to stop you invisible people from automatically igning in on it, click on your name and uncheck "sign in automatically".
For now I will keep it, but if I get a lot of complaints about it - I'll remove it.
